Salary: USD 129,000 - 171,000 / annual
Anduril Industries is seeking an Electrical Engineer to design and develop weapon systems and fuzing circuitry for advanced military platforms. This role encompasses the full PCB design lifecycle—from requirements gathering and schematic design through component selection, layout, bring-up, testing, and system integration. You will develop fuzing circuitry for missile systems and collaborate closely with vehicle development teams to design tailored fuzing systems and effectors. Key responsibilities include developing system interconnect diagrams and wire harnesses, conducting peer-level and cross-discipline design reviews, and supporting air vehicle subsystem development. You will build up and test system components through lab, ground, and flight tests, perform low-level firmware development for bring-up and test, and conduct root cause analysis in support of field operations. Vendor surveys and component evaluation will support sourcing decisions. The role requires proficiency with test equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, thermal chambers, current probes) and automation of tests. You must be comfortable with standard interfaces (Ethernet, CAN, I2C, SPI, PCIe, USB) and familiar with MCU, CPU, and FPGA devices. Strong knowledge of modern analog and digital electronics, design for signal integrity and power integrity, and experience with electronic CAD tools (Altium preferred) is essential. You will travel as required for testing, with surges up to 25%. A U.S. Secret security clearance is required. Preferred qualifications include 5–10 years as an individual contributor focused on electrical design and testing of fuzing/ordnance systems, active DoD clearance, familiarity with DO-254, DO-178C, DO-160 avionics standards, experience on UAS/missile/maritime programs, knowledge of DoD Weapons Safety Boards, production scaling experience, and familiarity with relevant MIL-STD specifications and JOTP standards.
