Shield AI is a venture-backed defense-tech company developing autonomous systems and unmanned aircraft to protect service members and civilians. The Hardware Test Engineering team is seeking an Electrical Engineer to design and build cutting-edge test solutions that validate the V-BAT unmanned aerial vehicle and other hardware systems.
In this role, you will design custom electrical and mechanical test systems that push hardware to its limits in real-world and extreme environments. You'll work hands-on with PCB design, Python scripting, and advanced environmental testing methodologies including HASS (Highly Accelerated Life Testing), ESS (Environmental Stress Screening), and HALT (Highly Accelerated Life Testing). Your work will validate everything from power electronics to RF communications systems.
You'll be part of a fast-paced, multidisciplinary team focused on ensuring the V-BAT remains the most reliable, mission-ready UAV in the industry. The role combines hardware design expertise with test automation and validation, requiring both technical depth and practical problem-solving skills. You'll contribute directly to mission-critical systems that operate worldwide across diverse operational theaters.
