True Anomaly is seeking a Staff Electrical Engineer to lead the design, development, and technical authority for spacecraft electrical power systems. In this senior technical role, you will own power architecture decisions across multiple space programs, spanning solar arrays, battery systems, power distribution units, and protection circuits. Key responsibilities include: • Lead design and development of spacecraft electrical power subsystems, including solar arrays, battery systems, power distribution units, and protection circuits • Own power architecture trades and drive technical decisions balancing performance, mass, thermal, radiation tolerance, cost, and schedule • Lead preliminary and critical design reviews (PDR/CDR) for power subsystems, ensuring designs meet program and customer requirements • Serve as the technical authority on power system performance, reliability, and operational readiness across multiple programs • Mentor and guide junior engineers on the power team • Collaborate with systems engineering, thermal, structures, and mission software teams to optimize spacecraft performance • Conduct analysis, modeling, and simulation of power systems under operational space conditions • Support test planning, execution, and troubleshooting of power hardware and flight systems You will be a core member of True Anomaly's engineering leadership, driving decisions that directly impact the company's autonomous spacecraft, advanced payloads, and space-based capabilities. The role requires deep expertise in spacecraft power systems, strong technical judgment, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment. True Anomaly builds autonomous spacecraft and advanced space capabilities for U.S. and Allied defense.
