Anduril Industries is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join the Maneuver Dominance team, which develops aerial robotic systems designed to operate in large coordinated teams alongside ground maneuver forces. The team leverages existing Anduril drone platforms (Ghost, Altius, Roadrunner) and integrates third-party platforms into Anduril's Lattice OS ecosystem, developing perception and autonomy algorithms to solve critical military challenges.
In this role, you will own full-cycle aircraft systems electrical design and integration, from requirements capture through system architecture, equipment selection, wire harness build, bring-up, testing, and rework. You'll troubleshoot issues spanning electrical and software boundaries using lab equipment (oscilloscopes, DMMs) and basic software debugging tools. Key responsibilities include developing payloads and subsystems (sensors, payload interfaces, power management, networking), creating system interconnect diagrams and wire harness designs, and conducting peer-level cross-discipline design reviews.
You'll work closely with electrical, mechanical, software, firmware, and test engineers to deliver fully functional autonomous flight systems, supporting vehicle platform system design and analysis through Technology Readiness Levels 3-8. The role demands rapid iteration in a fast-paced environment supporting both new developments and customer-operated hardware, with emphasis on design for signal/power integrity, high-reliability systems, and fieldable system design.
Required: Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, 3+ years designing/testing complex board designs, knowledge of analog/digital electronics, competence with test equipment, familiarity with standard interfaces (Ethernet, CAN, I2C, SPI, PCIe, USB), experience with MCU/CPU/FPGA devices, software development tools (git, GitHub, JIRA), electronic CAD (Altium preferred), battery systems, high-reliability systems, RF systems, rapid payload integration, high-power electronics, and worst-case circuit analysis. Must be eligible for U.S. Secret security clearance and able to travel 25% with potential surges.
Preferred: Experience with autonomous rotorcraft electrical/power systems, battery chemistry (primary and secondary), high-voltage power electronics, inverters, high-power electric motors, and MIL-STD compliance (461, 810G).
