Salary: USD 129,000 - 171,000 / annual
Anduril Industries is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join the Intelligence Systems team in Reston, Virginia. This role focuses on full-cycle PCB design and hardware product development for specialized defense and intelligence community applications.
You will own the complete design lifecycle: requirements gathering, schematic design, component selection, PCB layout supervision/execution, bring-up, testing, debugging, and system integration. The role involves designing high-reliability, highly manufacturable assemblies incorporating high-speed digital, precision analog, RF, and high-power circuits.
Key responsibilities include:
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to design market-leading hardware products
- Driving product maturity through rapid prototyping, design verification, and qualification activities
- Applying modern design standards to ensure manufacturability and reliability
- Leading the team in establishing design-for-manufacturing (DFM) guidelines and quality standards
- Conducting peer-level and cross-discipline design reviews
- Performing low-level firmware development for bring-up and test
- Supporting production operations through root cause analysis
- Managing multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment
Required qualifications include 4+ years of professional hardware product development experience, expertise in PCB layout techniques, proficiency with standard interfaces (Ethernet, CAN, I2C, SPI, PCIe, USB), familiarity with MCU/CPU/FPGA devices, knowledge of analog and digital electronics, experience with Altium Designer or equivalent E-CAD tools, and an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
Preferred qualifications include understanding of MIL-STD-810 (military environmental standards) and MIL-STD-461 (military electromagnetic compatibility standards).
