As an Electrical Product Sustainment Engineer, you will ensure production operations run smoothly once products are fielded and in production. You will triage product failures from both production and field operations, prioritizing by severity and population impact. You will drive root cause investigations to closure, diving deep into electrical components and PCB fabrication levels as needed, and translate findings into lasting process or design updates.
Key responsibilities include:
- Triaging product failures and prioritizing by severity and customer impact
- Conducting root cause investigations at the electrical component and PCB fabrication level
- Collecting, managing, and analyzing failure and field data to identify population-level trends
- Working cross-functionally with Quality, Supply Chain, and Production Operations teams to maintain build schedules
- Surfacing issues that threaten production timelines
- Ensuring fielded systems remain reliable and scalable long after leaving the production line
