Salary: USD 115,000 - 140,000 / annual
Echodyne is seeking an Electrical Engineer II to join its radar systems team in Kirkland, WA. The company develops compact solid-state beam-steering radar technology using metamaterials for autonomous vehicles, uncrewed aircraft, drones, and critical infrastructure security applications.
In this role, you will contribute to the design, verification, and manufacturing transition of analog and mixed-signal (AMS) subsystems for advanced radar platforms. You will participate in design-shaping discussions and technical reviews with multidisciplinary teams to develop robust radar architectures, resolve complex technical challenges, and ensure alignment with program objectives and Design for Excellence (DFX) principles.
Key responsibilities include:
- Contributing to the maturation of AMS subsystems, ensuring technical excellence and cross-functional collaboration
- Designing, verifying, and transitioning designs to manufacturing while supporting long-term product health
- Providing technical expertise in AMS circuit design, simulation, and analysis to guide design execution and risk mitigation
- Participating in root-cause investigations, trade studies, and continuous improvement initiatives
Required qualifications:
- BS in Engineering, Material Science, or Physics
- 4+ years' experience designing printed circuit assemblies for mixed-signal applications
- Strong foundation in analog and mixed-signal circuit theory with hands-on experience on high-reliability commercial or consumer products
- Proficiency with circuit design tools (Altium Designer or equivalent) and SPICE-like simulation tools
- Hands-on experience in board bring-up, acceptance testing, and design verification of PCBs
- Skilled in debugging and troubleshooting using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and lab equipment
- Understanding of component selection, layout optimization, signal integrity, and Design for Manufacturability principles
- Familiarity with low-speed signaling protocols (SPI, I2C, etc.)
- Eligibility to handle export-controlled information (ITAR/EAR); U.S. citizenship, green card, or asylum/refugee status required
