Lynk Global is the inventor of satellite direct-to-phone technology (sat2phone) and holds the world's first commercial FCC license to operate a commercial sat2phone system. The company enables mobile network operators' subscribers to send and receive text messages via standard unmodified mobile devices, with service tested on all seven continents, regulatory approvals in 30+ countries, and 40+ MNO commercial contracts covering approximately 50 countries. As an Electrical Engineer at Lynk, you will own hardware development projects through their complete lifecycle, from circuit design and schematic capture through PCB layout, board bring-up, and testing. You will design multilayer PCBAs incorporating EMI/EMC best practices for deployment in harsh environments (thermal cycles, mechanical shock, vibration). The role involves developing and analyzing complex power trees, collaborating with RTL and software teams on pinouts and clocking architectures, and working with mechanical teams on enclosure and thermal design. You will also collaborate with RF engineers on boards containing RF circuitry. Lynk emphasizes rapid iteration and operates as a small, interdisciplinary team. The ideal candidate is comfortable with system-level design discussions, taking ownership of individual subsystems as an individual contributor, and working across a breadth of electronics disciplines in both design and laboratory environments. Required qualifications include a bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering, strong grasp of Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Test (DFT) in low-to-medium volume high-complexity production, experience with multilayer PCB schematic capture and layout, board bring-up and testing, experience designing systems for harsh environments (space, aviation, automotive), familiarity with common low-speed digital interfaces (I2C, CAN, UART), EMI/EMC best practices, and basic experience writing FPGA RTL or microcontroller firmware. Preferred qualifications include understanding of FPGA and SoC hardware requirements (power distribution, high-speed SERDES routing, memory interfaces), basic RF circuit and PCB layout knowledge, startup or small team experience, and spacecraft avionics design experience. Experience with satellites is not required.
