Layup Parts is seeking an Electrical Engineer to own and maintain electrical systems across production equipment, robotic systems, and factory floor equipment. You will troubleshoot electrical and electromechanical issues, driving problems through to resolution. The role involves specifying electrical components and hardware for equipment upgrades, new machines, and robotics projects. You will design industrial electrical cabinets, control panels, wiring diagrams, and harnesses for both new and existing equipment. Collaboration with cabinet and harness vendors is key—you'll guide designs through fabrication, assembly, and implementation phases. When needed, you'll build, wire, modify, and bring up electrical systems in-house. This is a hands-on role that blends design, troubleshooting, and hands-on implementation in a manufacturing environment.
