Fuse is building fusion energy technology to accelerate the world's transition to clean energy. As an Electrical Engineer, you will design, build, and test control and data acquisition (DAQ) systems for pulsed-power facilities at the cutting edge of what's technically possible.
You will take ownership of multiple technical domains: designing and assembling PCBs for control systems and diagnostics, developing control architectures that span sensing, actuation, embedded hardware, and data acquisition, and conducting applied R&D in electrical engineering and pulsed-power systems. You'll diagnose and troubleshoot electrical components and assemblies, write technical specifications and reports, and support systems through build, testing, and iteration cycles.
Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent), plus 1+ years of hands-on experience in each of: PCB schematic and layout design (Altium Designer or equivalent), circuit simulation (SPICE), control system design, and DAQ system configuration. You must be proficient with lab equipment (oscilloscopes, power supplies, DMMs) and embedded hardware system design.
Preferred experience includes C/Python programming, pulsed-power or high-voltage systems, EMI hardening, and embedded protocols (SPI, I2C, UART, CAN, RS-485, Ethernet).
The role demands intensity and commitment: you'll travel between Fuse locations as needed, work extended hours and weekends when required, and take full ownership of problems.
