Salary: USD 166,000 - 220,000 / annual
Anduril Industries, a defense technology company, seeks a Staff Electrical Engineer to own vehicle system-level electrical power analyses and architecture for advanced autonomous aircraft platforms. This is a technical leadership role focused on the Fury (Group 5) platform and next-generation variants.
Key responsibilities include:
- Owning end-to-end electrical power analyses: Electrical Loads Analysis (ELA), Emergency Mode Analysis, Battery Sizing, Short-Circuit Analysis, and Bus Integrity assessments
- Shaping electrical architecture trade studies and the technical power roadmap for current and future vehicle variants
- Developing vehicle integration-level test plans, verification procedures, and validation criteria for power distribution systems
- Ensuring compliance with critical military standards (MIL-STD-464, MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-1760)
- Executing Size, Weight, and Power (SWaP) trade studies and Failure Modes and Effects Analyses (FMEA)
- Performing circuit and power system modeling using simulation tools (LTspice, SIMPLIS, Multi-Spice)
- Collaborating with Systems, Avionics, Flight Test, and Hardware teams to guide requirements and resolve integration challenges
- Supporting ground and flight test campaigns through telemetry analysis and flight readiness verification
Required qualifications: Bachelor's in Electrical, Aerospace, or Systems Engineering (or equivalent); 8+ years in vehicle/aircraft-level electrical power distribution and systems integration; demonstrated leadership in ELA, battery sizing, and power budgeting for complex aerospace platforms; proficiency in electrical simulation software; working knowledge of relevant military standards; experience with SWaP and FMEA; U.S. work authorization and eligibility for DoD Secret clearance.
Preferred: Active DoD Secret clearance or higher; Master's degree; experience with military air vehicles or Group 5 UAS; background bridging aerospace power with high-voltage battery/EV technologies; end-to-end subsystem ownership from concept through flight test.
