Anduril Industries is a defense technology company transforming U.S. and allied military capabilities through advanced autonomous systems and AI. The Air and Ground Deterrence (AGD) Division develops integrated robotic systems for multi-domain situational awareness and force protection across land, sea, and air. The Sentry Family of Systems leverages AI-enabled edge processing, continuous 360 pan/tilt capability, and multiple radars and sensors to autonomously identify, detect, and track objects of interest for borders, military bases, critical infrastructure, and other applications. We seek an Electrical Engineer to join our rapidly growing Sentry Hardware team in Irvine, CA. This role owns the end-to-end development of ruggedized electronics, from electrical architecture and hardware design through verification, integration, and test. You will partner with Architecture and Product Management to drive system requirements, then own full PCB and electrical system design. Responsibilities include identifying high-risk areas, creating and validating electronics designs for embedded compute and power systems, testing for long-term reliability, and considering manufacturability and testability. Key responsibilities: serve as the main point of contact for electrical integration activities; provide hands-on and in-field support of prototype and production-level products; collaborate with mechanical engineers to optimize selection, design, and integration of high-power components; trade off component selections against size, weight, power, and EMC requirements; and collaborate with the design team to achieve system-level reliability goals. Required: minimum 3+ years of professional experience; ability to design digital and analog electronics from concept through production; troubleshooting expertise to identify root causes and implement improvements; clear documentation of design requirements, specifications, test coverage, and reports; full-cycle PCB design experience including requirements, schematic, component selection, layout, bring-up, test, debug, validation, and system integration; cross-functional collaboration with mechanical, software, firmware, and test engineers; ability to work in fast-paced environments supporting new developments, active deployments, and customer-operated hardware; concurrent management of multiple projects at various stages; and eligibility to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance. Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent; 3+ years designing, testing, and troubleshooting complex board designs; competence with test equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, thermal chambers, current probes, test automation); and familiarity with switch-mode power supply design and testing.
