Salary: USD 135,000 - 185,000 / annual

Voyager Space is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer for its Technology and Advanced Development department in Long Beach, CA. This role focuses on the design, integration, and qualification of complex electronic hardware systems for in-space computing applications, with emphasis on high-reliability design and technical leadership. Key responsibilities include deriving and documenting circuit board requirements from system-level specifications; creating schematic drawings for complex high-speed PCBAs; developing functional and design specifications; guiding PCB layout for intricate designs; assisting with manufacturing of complex assemblies; collaborating with signal integrity, mechanical, and power teams during board design and testing; developing and executing PCBA test plans; validating designs through troubleshooting and testing; providing system integration and test support; meeting aggressive schedule deadlines; supporting design review gates with documentation; participating in customer meetings; and evaluating contractor proposals for technical feasibility. Required qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science; 7+ years designing high-speed printed circuit boards; solid understanding of digital logic, signal integrity, power circuitry, and high-speed PCB design/simulation; experience with FPGAs/PLDs, Ethernet PHYs, high-speed memories, PLLs, voltage regulators, and switching circuits; knowledge of computer and system architecture; experience with board simulations and processor/DSP interfaces; project experience from bring-up through production ramp; ability to create and review validation/diagnostic test plans; lab testing and debugging experience; excellent communication skills; and eligibility to obtain and maintain US Government security clearance. Preferred qualifications include five years of analog and power design experience and PCB layout capability. The role reports to the Vice President of Technology Development and is based onsite/hybrid in Long Beach, CA.
