Salary: USD 105,000 - 135,000 / annual

Amca is building America's new industrial base by rapidly developing and manufacturing critical aerospace and defense components. The company operates seven factories nationwide and delivers avionics, hydraulic, and electrical components for platforms including the F-35, F-16, F/A-18, 737MAX, 787, A320neo, A321, Mk-48, and M1 Abrams. As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will own the end-to-end design and prototyping of new electrical hardware for aerospace applications, taking products from concept through flight qualification. Your primary responsibilities include: **Design & Development:** Lead electrical design for flight hardware, including schematic creation, electrical analysis, component selection, de-rating, and PCBA layout. Own prototype bring-up of early revision hardware and rapidly iterate to finalize designs through bench testing and functional development tests. **Cross-functional Collaboration:** Work directly with customers to understand end-use applications and challenge requirements. Collaborate with test engineering to define and execute qualification plans including functional and environmental testing. Partner with build engineers to ensure designs are manufacturable and incorporate design-for-manufacturability feedback. **Documentation & Standards:** Manage drawing revisions, BOM structure, and part configuration in accordance with aerospace standards and internal design controls. Optimize designs for reliability and cost. **Team Development:** Mentor early-career engineers and assist with recruiting and building the electrical engineering team at Amca. **Factory Diligence:** Evaluate product catalogs to identify expansion opportunities and assess factory design, manufacturing, and test capabilities. You should have hands-on experience with electrical design, schematic layout, component selection, and simulation. Comfort with debugging tools (oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers) is essential. The ideal candidate is exceptionally curious, a fast learner, independent, and thrives with ownership and minimal oversight. Familiarity with DO-160, MIL-STD, or other aerospace qualification frameworks is a plus. This position requires U.S. person status per ITAR regulations.
