Salary: USD 129,000 - 171,000 / annual

Anduril Industries is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to join the Air Dominance and Strike team in Costa Mesa, California. You will own end-to-end avionics systems and subsystems development, including design, integration, testing, and validation. This role requires hands-on expertise in PCB design, electrical harnessing, power systems analysis, and cross-functional collaboration in a fast-paced aerospace environment. Key responsibilities include: - Design and develop complex avionics electrical systems and subsystems - Perform power system and electrical loading analysis, simulation, and testing - Design mixed-signal PCBs with multiple layer counts, impedance matching, and proper grounding - Develop system interconnect diagrams and drive cable harnessing designs - Conduct lab testing using oscilloscopes, power supplies, logic analyzers, and thermal/EMI chambers - Integrate electrical systems into aerospace vehicles with attention to temperature and vibration effects - Collaborate across engineering disciplines to deliver high-speed avionics solutions Required qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent with 3+ years of hands-on design and troubleshooting experience - Proficiency with lab test equipment and basic software debugging tools - Strong knowledge of electrical bus interfaces (CAN, I2C, SPI, Ethernet, RS232/422, RS485, USB) - Expertise in power design, power management systems, and microcontroller bring-up - Understanding of low and high voltage power electronics and control systems - Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance - Exceptional written and oral communication skills Preferred qualifications include 5+ years of aerospace electrical systems integration, experience with military embedded systems, battery and AC power systems knowledge, low-level firmware development, and defense/missile systems background.
