Harbinger is an American commercial electric vehicle (EV) company developing a first-of-its-kind EV platform for medium-duty vehicles and hybrids. The company brings together deep expertise in EV, battery, and drivetrain technology to address innovation gaps in the commercial vehicle market.
As EE Lab Manager, you will oversee day-to-day operations of the Electrical Engineering Lab, managing both infrastructure and personnel. Your responsibilities include:
• Managing a team of wiring harness technicians, reviewing work requests, and assigning tasks
• Owning infrastructure development including equipment procurement, testing capabilities expansion, and inventory management
• Developing lab capabilities to support current and future testing needs in power electronics and hardware-in-the-loop (HiL) systems
• Maintaining equipment maintenance schedules and calibration protocols
• Enforcing rigorous safety standards across all lab operations
• Tracking lab expenditures against departmental budgets
You will be responsible for scaling the lab's capabilities as Harbinger's testing and validation needs evolve, working closely with engineering teams to understand requirements and implement solutions.
Requirements:
• 2+ years of experience as a Lab Manager, preferably managing a power electronics or electrical lab within the automotive or aerospace industry
• Experience managing technicians
• Proficiency with tools like Jira and Coupa
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Understanding of 2D drawing layout
• Motivation to learn on the job and take ownership of lab operations
