Notion is seeking an Ecosystem Growth Engineer to run growth experiments for its Startups and SMB programs. You will transform promising ideas into measurable customer and revenue growth, working across acquisition, product experiences, AI-enabled systems, and operations in partnership with Ecosystem Growth, Storytelling, Product, and Engineering teams.
On a typical week, you might query behavior data, prototype in-product flows, launch campaign workflows, and evaluate whether signals are strong enough to scale. The role is based in New York City with anchor days on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays.
Key achievements by 90 days include: mapping relevant funnels and data sources, shipping and evaluating your first experiment from hypothesis to customer-facing launch, and building an AI-assisted workflow for audience research, campaign iteration, quality checks, or analysis with clear human judgment and data guardrails.
By the end of your first year, you will build and iterate a portfolio of growth programs using SQL and customer research to identify overlooked opportunities, turn the strongest experiments into reusable programs and playbooks, and raise the bar for how Notion evaluates growth opportunities.
Notion is the collaborative AI workspace where teams and agents think together. Millions of individuals, small teams, and large companies run their work on Notion. The company is building one place where knowledge, projects, meetings, and AI tools live side by side, making work faster, clearer, and less fragmented.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Track record of shipping growth or operations projects with clear account of what you personally built and what changed as a result
- Strong SQL and analytical judgment; ability to work through messy data, test assumptions, and distinguish promising signals from misleading results
- Hands-on experience building campaigns or automated workflows in tools such as Customer.io, Salesforce, or comparable platforms
- Ability to turn ambiguous goals into practical plans, unblock yourself where possible, and communicate clearly when needing help from other teams
- Curiosity and learning agility, including willingness to use AI as a real collaborator and build better workflows as you learn what works
- Intellectual curiosity and excitement to use AI as a real collaborator in your work
