Fishwife is a woman-founded premium tinned seafood company featured in The New York Times, Bon Appetit, Forbes, Vogue, and other major publications. The company sources ethically from responsible fisheries and aquaculture farms, bringing conservas culture to North America.
The Ecommerce Operations Manager owns the end-to-end engine for Fishwife's fastest-growing and most operationally complex channel across Shopify and Amazon. You will translate Marketing's monthly revenue goals into SKU-level demand plans, maintain accurate product catalogs, and execute launches that take new items from concept to ready-to-ship on schedule.
This is a strategic operator role that bridges Marketing and Operations. You will be responsible for demand planning and S&OP, turning marketing plans into executable supply plans while holding cross-functional partners accountable. Key responsibilities include:
**Ecommerce Demand Planning & S&OP:** Own the D2C and Amazon demand plan by translating Marketing's revenue goals and media plans into SKU-level unit forecasts, including component demand for bundles and kits. Run monthly S&OP retros comparing actuals to plan, diagnose variances, and improve forecasting methods. Deliver ecommerce forecasts to the Demand Planning Manager and flag demand shifts early (promotions, virality, softening trends) so Operations can react before supply is at risk.
**Platform & Catalog Management:** Own product and variant setup in Shopify, ensuring every listing is accurate and live on time. Build and manage Fishwife's Amazon catalog in Seller Central, keeping listings, ASINs, and SKU mappings accurate as the portfolio grows. Partner with Operations to keep Shopify, Amazon, Cin7 ERP, and 3PL systems aligned. Maintain clean, trustworthy data across all platforms and integrations.
**Launch & Project Management:** Own the ecommerce launch process for every new item, mapping steps, setting timelines, assigning owners, and holding teams to deadlines. Plan new items end-to-end across D2C and Amazon, including compositions, component and packaging requirements, and kitting requests. Own merch and packaging demand and timelines, giving Procurement the quantities and need-by dates required. Enter and track kitting work orders with the 3PL and confirm inventory lands ahead of launch dates.
**Inventory Health & Allocation:** Keep bundles and kits in stock, reconfiguring when components are at risk. When items risk stockout, work with Operations to identify substitutes and plan transitions across listings, bundles, and marketing. Protect wholesale inventory by managing D2C on-site availability and representing ecommerce in weekly inventory allocation calls.
**Reporting, Systems & Cadence:** Build and own D2C and Amazon dashboards covering forecast versus actuals, inventory health, and launch readiness. Maintain the e-commerce and martech tool register and renewal calendar. Run the operating cadence for the marketing team, including agendas, decisions, and action tracking. Automate recurring manual work wherever possible.
You will report to the Head of Marketing with a dotted line to Operations. This is an individual-contributor role working daily with Growth, Brand, Procurement, Demand Planning, and the broader Operations team.
**Requirements:**
- 4 to 6 years in e-commerce operations, demand planning, or supply planning, ideally at a CPG or DTC brand, with hands-on operations or planning experience in at least one prior role
- Strategic thinker who sets priorities, anticipates downstream effects, and can explain reasoning to both Marketing and Operations
- Experienced forecaster who has turned marketing plans into SKU-level demand and measured accuracy against actuals
- Proven project manager who has run cross-functional launches and keeps many threads moving without dropping details
- Hands-on with Shopify product setup; Amazon Seller Central catalog management strongly preferred
- Fluent with inventory concepts: availability, allocation, safety stock, kitting, and BOMs
- Spreadsheet-fluent and comfortable building models from scratch; ERP experience a plus (Cin7 preferred)
- Detail-oriented with a habit of automating anything done manually more than twice
- Energized by being the connective tissue between Marketing and Operations in a fast-moving, high-growth environment
**Key Tools & Systems:** Shopify, Amazon Seller Central, Cin7 (ERP), Modus, WMS/3PL portal, SPS Commerce (EDI), Notion, Google Sheets.
