Lumilens is building photonics infrastructure for AI supercomputing, including chip-to-chip optical interconnects and scalable photonic engines. The company is Series B-funded and led by industry veterans.
As a DSP Engineer, you will serve as a subject matter expert for high-speed serial data measurements, combining advanced digital signal processing expertise with hands-on hardware design knowledge. Your work will advance Lumilens' measurement capabilities for ultra-high-speed serial data systems supporting AI infrastructure applications.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and refining advanced measurement techniques and algorithms for ultra-high-speed optical and electrical signaling systems
- Improving TECQ/TDECQ measurement accuracy and related algorithms to support more precise and reliable results
- Supporting advanced measurement work aligned with IEEE 802.3 standards and Lumilens' strategic technical priorities
- Contributing to Functional Receiver measurement work
- Researching, designing, and developing tools for ultra-high-speed serial data applications in AI infrastructure
- Driving hardware improvements that reduce timebase jitter toward 100 fs, improving upon current architectures above 250 fs
Required qualifications include strong expertise in digital signal processing for high-speed serial data measurements, hands-on hardware design experience for high-speed measurement systems or related photonics/electrical test platforms, demonstrated experience with advanced measurement algorithms and signal integrity analysis, familiarity with IEEE 802.3 measurement methodologies, and strong communication skills.
Preferred qualifications include experience with TECQ/TDECQ measurements, equalization, and waveform processing; background in optical communications, high-speed SerDes, or photonics; experience developing measurement automation tools and custom instrumentation; and an advanced degree in Electrical Engineering, Photonics, or Applied Physics.
