As Director of Technical Program Management, you will report directly to the VP of Engineering and drive technical program management for the organization's most complex, high-impact cross-functional initiatives. Your mission is to define how the engineering organization plans, coordinates, and delivers its most critical programs. Key responsibilities include: - Drive the largest and most complex cross-functional programs end-to-end, from problem framing through outcome delivery - Set the standard for how complex programs are executed and raise the bar for program execution across engineering - Own delivery mechanics including planning, dependency management, risk management, and operating cadence - Make delivery predictable and visible with clear owners, timelines, and trusted status reporting - Drive cross-team coordination, unblock dependencies, and surface and manage risk early - Partner with engineering and product leadership to translate strategy into sequenced, resourced plans You will build the operating mechanisms that make execution predictable, enabling leadership to make decisions with confidence. You identify what's needed proactively, act before being asked, and continuously raise execution standards. The role emphasizes AI-native workflows—you'll use AI tools to run large programs single-handedly and build AI-driven workflows that increase leverage across the organization. Required qualifications: - Deep experience as a technical program manager driving large, complex cross-functional engineering programs in fast-moving software companies - Strong technical grounding and credibility with senior engineers; ability to go deep on technical tradeoffs - Excellent written communication and stakeholder management across engineering, product, and executive levels - Strong judgment on delivery mechanics: planning, dependencies, risk, and operating cadence - Genuine fluency with AI tools and a habit of using them to raise leverage
