BitGo is a publicly traded digital asset infrastructure company (NYSE: BTGO) providing custody, wallets, staking, trading, financing, stablecoins, and settlement services. The company operates as a regulated financial institution, including BitGo Bank & Trust, the first federally chartered digital asset trust bank owned by a publicly traded company. You will join as the first Director of Technical Program Management for R&D, building the TPM function from scratch within your first year. This is an execution-risk role at a public company where missed delivery on regulated commitments has audit, examiner, and investor consequences. Key responsibilities: **Timely and predictable delivery of product.** Own delivery integrity across the product portfolio: ensuring dates that mean something, executing cross-team and cross-entity programs (acquisition integrations, legal-entity restructurings, partner and vendor migrations) end-to-end, and escalating early when plans and commitments diverge. **Building trust between product and regulatory/compliance/legal/finance/audit partners.** Run programs where product delivery and control exposure intersect: new-product regulatory review pipelines with fixed examiner deadlines, remediation of audit findings requiring product builds, and delivery against regulator commitments. You ensure product plans are credible and review clocks are predictable, forcing conflicts between remediation timelines and exposure windows into explicit decisions. **Portfolio dependency and capacity integrity.** Maintain the single source of truth for resource allocation, program timing, and risk. Surface contradictions—committed goals with unstaffed critical-path dependencies, duplicate ownership, or cross-team dependencies living in nobody's plan—before they surface as quarter-end misses. Build a credible picture of keep-the-lights-on load so real capacity is known. **Product operating rhythm.** Run the execution-review cadence for the product org: current and honest initiative status, launch readiness that commercial can sell against, and a working blocker-escalation path with SLAs. Make status cheap to produce and impossible to fudge. **TPM team building.** Start hands-on running the highest-exposure programs yourself, then build out the function within a year, hiring 1–2 TPMs against proven need. Set the bar for program management: outcome-accountable, technically fluent, and light-touch on teams already delivering. Success in the first two quarters means: every regulated-delivery program has a dated plan reconciled against external deadlines with gaps escalated in writing; committed goals and staffing are reconciled with zero commitments having unstaffed critical-path dependencies leadership hasn't explicitly accepted; at least one integration or entity program demonstrably run end-to-end through your operating model; and product leads report coordination overhead went down, not up. You will partner with product managers (who keep outcome accountability), engineering leadership (who own technical decisions and delivery), compliance/legal/risk (who own regulatory judgment), commercial leadership (who own revenue and client commitments), and finance/audit (for whom you keep control-remediation milestones honest). The role requires full-time onsite presence at the New York City office (40 Wall St) to support collaborative team dynamics and innovative problem-solving. **Requirements:** - 8+ years in technical program management, with 3+ years leading TPM teams or functions, ideally including founding one - Delivery leadership in a regulated financial environment: experience running programs with examiner deadlines, audit findings, SOX-adjacent controls, or material-weakness remediation; understanding of how public-company audit exposure changes program management - Technical credibility with platform engineering: ability to read architecture discussions, pressure-test estimates, and hold your own on sequencing conversations with senior engineers - Demonstrated experience with at least one of: M&A integration, legal-entity restructuring, or large multi-party partner migrations - Ability to operate through influence in organizations where authority is split across reporting lines; getting things done with people who don't report to you and don't want another meeting - Writing-first operator: default artifacts are documents and dependency maps, not status meetings - Crypto/digital-asset domain experience is a plus, not a requirement; regulated-fintech delivery experience matters more
