Graphcore, a leader in AI computing systems and member of the SoftBank Group, is seeking a Director of Sustaining Engineering to lead power delivery architecture and strategy. This role bridges data center infrastructure with advanced semiconductor systems, requiring cross-functional leadership across hardware engineering, firmware development, and data center operations.
Key responsibilities include providing thought leadership and strategic planning for power delivery systems from data center power distribution through chip-level delivery. You will establish and execute the power engineering roadmap, working with vendors to align their technology roadmaps with Graphcore's system engineering requirements. The role focuses on continuous improvement of reliability, efficiency, and scalability across power delivery components.
You will lead technical teams in designing power delivery architectures that meet customer requirements while achieving performance and reliability standards. This includes managing vendor relationships, driving technological innovation, and ensuring infrastructure meets both current needs and future scalability demands. The position requires deep expertise in power systems engineering, data center infrastructure, and semiconductor power delivery.
The role is based in Milpitas, CA with a hybrid arrangement requiring a minimum of 3 days onsite per week. There is flexibility to work from Austin or San Jose locations.
