F5 is seeking a Director of Strategy and Operations to lead integrated planning, organizational alignment, and cross-functional execution across Product and Engineering operations. This role translates operational strategy into actionable plans, executive visibility, and enterprise-wide execution. The Director will own the integrated planning discipline and operational narrative connecting long-range strategy, annual and quarterly plans, portfolio investments, and business performance. Key responsibilities include: **Strategy & Planning**: Develop and evolve integrated planning frameworks that connect strategy, Opex assumptions, portfolio priorities, and organizational progress. Establish operating cadences, QBRs, scorecards, and portfolio review mechanisms. **Executive Communications & Decision Support**: Lead executive operating reviews, QBR design, decision records, and action closure. Develop strategic planning updates, executive scorecards, and Board-level operational readouts that support informed decision-making. **Product & Engineering Operations**: Partner with Product Lifecycle Program Managers and Technical Program Managers to communicate roadmap evolution, NPI readiness, program milestones, delivery progress, and cross-functional dependencies. **Sales & Channel Alignment**: Ensure strategic product investments, roadmap direction, and launch readiness are communicated early and consistently to commercial organizations. **Organizational Change & Adoption**: Lead communications supporting new operating processes, governance changes, AI adoption, workflow modernization, and organizational transformation. **Portfolio & Investment Governance**: Set standards for intake, evidence, business-case, and decision-traceability in portfolio reviews. **Team Leadership**: Build and develop a team with capabilities in operating rhythm, integrated planning, portfolio governance, executive communications, and change adoption. The role complements (rather than duplicates) Investor Relations, Product Marketing, Finance, and Product Chiefs of Staff. The Director owns integrated planning mechanisms, decision records, and operational narratives—not product strategy, engineering execution, financial controls, or corporate communications. Success is measured through planning integrity, decision readiness and velocity, action closure, portfolio traceability, risk timeliness, organizational adoption, executive alignment, and measurable operational outcomes. **Requirements:** - Demonstrated leadership in strategy execution, integrated business planning, portfolio or investment governance, executive decision support, organizational communications, and complex cross-functional change in a Product and Engineering environment - Ability to convert ambiguous strategic questions into structured plans, evidence requirements, decision-ready choices, executive narratives, accountable actions, and measurable outcomes - Strong people leadership, executive presence, facilitation, written communication, and stakeholder influence across Product, Engineering, Finance, Sales, Channels, and enterprise partners - Experience establishing operating cadences, QBRs, scorecards, portfolio reviews, decision records, action-closure mechanisms, and continuous improvement practices
