Via is a transportation technology platform that powers modern public transit systems globally. As Director of Strategic Partnerships for the Western US, you will drive revenue growth and build high-impact partnerships with city governments, transport authorities, and private operators across the region.
You will own the go-to-market strategy for the Western territory, navigating complex multi-stakeholder sales cycles from initial conversation through deal closure. This includes understanding public-sector procurement processes, political dynamics, and multi-year funding cycles unique to the region. You'll create data-driven business cases demonstrating how Via's platform improves ridership, efficiency, and sustainability for cities and operators.
As a trusted advisor to city leaders and mobility operators, you'll help them design future transit networks, identify funding mechanisms, and navigate operational and political constraints. You'll represent Via at senior levels across your market, shaping how modern mobility is understood through conferences, industry events, and thought leadership activities.
You'll also serve as a bridge between the market and Via's internal teams, bringing structured market intelligence from cities and operators that informs product strategy and competitive positioning.
The ideal candidate has 10+ years in sales, business development, or strategy, with proven success in enterprise, government, infrastructure, or tech-enabled services. A background in public transport or mobility is strongly preferred. You excel at winning complex, high-value, multi-stakeholder deals built on trust and influence. You combine strong analytical and storytelling skills to turn data, policy, and customer needs into strategic decisions and compelling narratives. You're a motivated self-starter who thrives in high-ownership environments, adapts communication style across contexts, and demonstrates sound commercial judgment.
