Precision for Medicine is seeking a Director, Site Start-up to lead the Site Start-up (SSU) department and drive its strategic expansion across people, processes, and systems. This role reports to the Head of Site Start-up and is responsible for providing leadership, guidance, and overall support to the SSU team in delivering clinical trial site activation services.
Key responsibilities include: leading the SSU team with guidance on project delivery, communication, HR, revenue enhancement, and process optimization; managing site start-up delivery through direct team management and cross-functional oversight of IRB/Ethics Committee submissions, Competent Authority submissions, site contracts, and budget negotiations; establishing the Precision for Medicine SSU framework to ensure consistent project execution, risk evaluation, and mitigation; collaborating with Clinical Operations, project management, and other departments on global and regional SSU activities; supporting corporate and departmental business strategies; acting as a change management ambassador for organizational growth and expansion.
Additional duties include: providing leadership and oversight on complex SSU programs; managing escalations and remediation of SSU concerns; optimizing processes to improve profitability and meet budget targets; partnering with Global Resourcing teams to assess and manage SSU leads, specialists, and site contract management staff; supporting team career development, growth, and succession planning; coordinating SSU participation in client meetings and presentations; collaborating with Business Development on opportunity development, proposals, and bid defense; developing, measuring, and reporting SSU KPIs; leading continuous improvement initiatives.
The role ensures conduct and delivery of clinical trials in compliance with regulatory requirements (local and regional), ICH Guidelines, Good Clinical Practices, and company SOPs. Remote candidates are considered from the UK, Spain, Poland, Hungary, Serbia, Slovakia, and Romania.
