Graphcore is building the future of AI compute as part of the SoftBank Group. The company develops semiconductor, software, and AI technology for the complete AI compute stack—from silicon and software to datacenter-scale infrastructure. The Verification team sits within the Silicon Design organisation and ensures that RTL delivered by Logical Design meets Graphcore's architectural needs and quality standards. As Director of Silicon Verification, you will lead this multi-site organisation, define verification strategies across multiple silicon programs, and drive best-in-class execution for high-quality, high-performance silicon delivery. Key responsibilities include: **Leadership & Strategy:** - Define long-term vision, roadmap, and strategy for silicon functional verification across all Graphcore silicon programs - Build, lead, and develop a high-performing, globally distributed verification organisation - Partner closely with Architecture, Logical Design, Physical Design, DFT, Systems, and Program Management teams - Ensure accurate implementation, accelerated debug cycles, high coverage confidence, and predictable silicon delivery **Execution & Quality:** - Set direction for the verification lifecycle: planning, infrastructure, execution, coverage closure, debug strategy, and sign-off - Drive verification methodologies and best practices across complex, high-performance AI accelerators - Establish quality standards and metrics for silicon verification - Lead cross-functional collaboration to optimize verification efficiency and reduce time-to-market This role reports to the Senior Director of Verification and requires proven leadership experience in silicon verification, deep technical expertise in functional verification methodologies, and the ability to scale and mentor high-performing teams across multiple geographies.
