As Director of Reliability Engineering, you will lead the reliability engineering function for Mainspring's distributed power generation systems. This role oversees the strategy, processes, and team responsible for ensuring high availability, fault tolerance, and operational resilience across the company's product portfolio and field deployments. You will work cross-functionally with product, manufacturing, field operations, and customer success teams to establish reliability standards, drive continuous improvement, and support the company's growth trajectory in the clean energy sector.
Key responsibilities include building and managing a reliability engineering team, developing and implementing reliability testing protocols and methodologies, analyzing field data and failure modes to inform product improvements, establishing metrics and KPIs for system reliability, and partnering with customers and partners to ensure operational excellence. This is a leadership role that combines technical depth in power systems and distributed generation with people management and strategic influence across the organization.
