Tanium is seeking a Director of Product Management to lead the strategy, roadmap, and execution of Policy and Configuration Management within its Endpoint Management portfolio. This senior individual contributor role owns how Tanium defines, applies, and proves configuration state across enterprise Windows, Linux, and macOS endpoints—whether on-premises, remote, or cloud-based.
You will own the product strategy for Tanium's centralized policy engine, including application allow/deny control, full-disk encryption, device and removable media control, host firewall management, and administrative template (Group Policy-style) policy. Key responsibilities include driving the Windows policy and configuration management roadmap, expanding Linux capabilities, owning legacy migration and baseline import tooling (Group Policy backup import, CIS Build Kits, vendor security baselines), and defining policy enforcement state and compliance reporting so customers can prove configuration compliance and audit posture.
You will work cross-functionally with Engineering, Product Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success to set vision, drive roadmap execution, and turn consistent configuration state into measurable risk reduction. The role requires strong communication and influence across executive stakeholder conversations, deep technical architecture discussions, and customer-facing storytelling. You will document customer use cases, prioritize investments based on customer risk reduction and compliance mandates, partner on go-to-market motions and enablement, cultivate strategic customer relationships, establish and track KPIs (policy adoption, time-to-compliance, configuration drift rates, platform pull-through), and leverage emerging trends in agentic AI and autonomous IT to shape the roadmap for self-healing, continuously enforced endpoint configuration.
This is an ideal fit for someone with a successful track record shipping enterprise configuration management, compliance, or policy products at scale, with deep hands-on experience in Windows policy and configuration management (Group Policy, ADMX templates, security baselines, full-disk encryption, application control) and ideally in-depth Linux configuration management experience.
