Figma is seeking a Director of Product Communications to lead the company's product storytelling strategy and team. This is a newly structured role focused on building an integrated communications approach that connects earned media, editorial, social, community, podcasts, and events to tell Figma's product story.
In this role, you will shape a clear narrative for Figma that helps audiences understand the company's products and market position. You'll work closely with Product and Engineering teams to identify and explain meaningful product and technical stories, then determine the best channels and timing for each narrative. You'll lead storytelling for major product launches and moments, connecting them to a broader product narrative. You'll also advise executives and senior partners on product storytelling strategy, audiences, and channels, and collaborate across Product Marketing, Brand, Community, executive communications, and international teams.
A key responsibility is building and developing a growing product communications and storytelling team. You'll manage people, establish team culture, and develop high performers. The role is based in Figma's San Francisco hub with an expectation to work in the office 2–3 days per week.

- Proven track record of managing people and building or developing high-performing teams

PLUS (not required):
- Familiarity with Figma or the design and product development ecosystem
- Experience adapting stories across cultures and markets
- Experience with emerging editorial, creator, and community platforms
