Salary: USD 95,000 - 110,000 / annual
Distro is recruiting a Director of Security & Guest Protection for a confidential luxury hospitality campus spanning 300+ acres in the Franklin/Brentwood, Tennessee area. This is a leadership role overseeing all security and guest protection operations for a high-end property that includes guest accommodations, private cottages, event venues, wellness facilities, dining operations, and VIP services.
You will lead a multi-shift security team, manage all aspects of physical security operations, and ensure the safety and protection of guests, staff, and assets across the entire campus. Key responsibilities include:
• Leading and developing security supervisors and multi-shift teams
• Managing access control, surveillance systems, alarm systems, and visitor management
• Developing and implementing security standard operating procedures
• Coordinating VIP and executive protection services with discretion and professionalism
• Leading emergency response, crisis management, and incident command operations
• Managing fire and life safety, evacuation planning, and severe weather response
• Conducting security investigations and risk assessments
• Overseeing security technology implementations and vendor management
• Preparing incident reports, security metrics, and executive briefings
• Managing security budgets and operational oversight
• Maintaining on-call leadership availability for 24/7 operations
• Ensuring compliance with Tennessee security licensing and background requirements
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in security leadership within luxury hospitality, private estates, resorts, or similar high-profile environments. You must be comfortable working with VIP guests, managing confidential situations, and maintaining the highest standards of discretion and professionalism.
REQUIREMENTS:
• 8+ years of progressive security or protective services experience
• 3+ years of leadership experience managing supervisors and multi-shift security teams
• Demonstrated expertise in physical security, access control, surveillance systems, and alarm systems
• Strong background in emergency management, crisis response, and incident command
• Experience with VIP protection and executive protection coordination
• Proficiency with security reporting platforms and SOP development
• Valid driver's license and ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and on-call
• Ability to meet Tennessee security licensing and background requirements
• Relevant industry background in one or more areas: corporate security, executive protection, law enforcement, military security, hospitality security, resort security, private estate security, campus security, or entertainment venue security
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor's degree in Security Management, Criminal Justice, Emergency Management, Hospitality, or Business
• ASIS CPP or ASIS PSP certification
• FEMA certifications (ICS-100, ICS-200, IS-700, IS-800)
• CPR, AED, or First Aid certification
• Prior hotel, resort, private club, or estate security leadership experience
• Event security and vendor/contract management experience
