Re:Build Manufacturing is revitalizing America's manufacturing base through an advanced, end-to-end manufacturing platform serving aerospace and defense, electrification, medical, energy, and robotics sectors. Fikst, a Re:Build subsidiary based in Wilmington, MA, is a product design and engineering consulting firm specializing in biomedical instruments, microfluidics, specialty plastics, optics, and industrial automation. You will lead program development and client engagement for Fikst, driving custom technology-centric hardware projects from initial client contact through contract closure and ongoing relationship management. This is not a traditional business development role—it requires hands-on technical understanding and genuine engineering background to credibly engage with pioneering clients developing emerging technologies. Key responsibilities include: initiating and managing prospective client communications using CRM systems; presenting Fikst's capabilities and assessing client needs; building long-term relationships with key decision-makers; collaborating with technical teams to develop and present proposals and statements of work; managing legal document execution (NDAs, MSAs, contracts); negotiating and closing program opportunities; staying engaged with project execution to advocate for mutual success; and expanding Fikst's visibility through industry events, networking, and personal connections to identify new client opportunities. You will work closely with senior leadership and technical project teams to prioritize opportunities, develop competitive proposals, and ensure seamless handoffs from business development through project delivery. The role demands someone who understands hardware product development intimately, can translate technical capabilities into client value, and is genuinely excited about connecting clients with Fikst's engineering expertise.
