Cobalt is a cybersecurity platform founded in 2013 that provides seamless, collaborative offensive security testing (pentesting) to organizations. The company operates a SaaS platform paired with an exclusive community of 500+ vetted security testers (the Cobalt Core), enabling customers to launch pentests in as little as 24 hours and integrate with advanced development cycles.
You will join as Director of Product Management, Platform—a newly created role on the Product leadership team reporting to the VP of Product Management. You will own the product surfaces that connect Cobalt's pentesting offerings to customers' broader security and business stacks, making those offerings easy to evaluate, configure, and scale.
You will lead a team spanning Customer Experience, Product Operations, and Platform/Integrations PMs. You will be the primary product partner to Engineering, Sales, Customer Success, and Security/Compliance stakeholders on all aspects of how customers connect to, configure, and pay for Cobalt.
Key responsibilities include:
- Define and execute the roadmap for Cobalt's integration ecosystem (Salesforce, Slack/MS Teams, ticketing and automation tools), including build-vs-partner decisions and prioritization frameworks tied to revenue and retention.
- Own the product side of technology partnerships—API/webhook strategy, partner onboarding, and joint roadmap alignment with strategic partners.
- Partner with Finance and Sales to design and evolve pricing and packaging across the tiered portfolio, including credits, contracts, and tier-based feature and integration entitlements.
- Own the roadmap for role-based access control (RBAC), authentication, and customer administration capabilities that meet enterprise security and compliance expectations.
- Elevate the Customer Focus charter—customer journey, scoping and calculator experience, findings/reports, asset and engagement management, and customer-facing catalogue—ensuring platform decisions are grounded in real customer workflows.
- Oversee the Product org's operating rhythm: roadmap cadence, QBRs, Product Hour, in-platform content (Pendo), technical publications, usage/experience metrics, and tooling/vendor management.
- Manage and develop a team of PMs and product operations professionals; set goals, coach for growth, and represent the team's roadmap to leadership.
- Partner closely with Engineering and Design to translate platform strategy into epics, acceptance criteria, and shippable releases; coordinate with Customer Success and Sales on GTM readiness.
Success in the first year means: a published, prioritized platform and integration roadmap with at least one new strategic integration shipped; a documented pricing/packaging model for tier-based entitlements adopted by Sales and Finance; an RBAC and permissions framework that closes enterprise/compliance gaps; a unified Product Operations cadence running reliably; and a team of PMs operating with clear ownership, healthy backlog discipline, and strong cross-functional trust.
Requirements:
- 8+ years in product management, including 3+ years in a people-leadership role (Director, Group PM, or equivalent), ideally within B2B SaaS or cybersecurity.
- Demonstrated experience owning platform, integrations, or ecosystem products—defining build-vs-partner tradeoffs and shipping API/webhook-based integrations at scale.
- Direct experience with pricing and packaging design for a multi-tier or multi-product SaaS portfolio.
- Working knowledge of access control, authentication, and enterprise security/compliance requirements (RBAC, SSO, SAML/OIDC) as they apply to product design.
- Track record of leading product operations or platform functions that support an entire product organization (metrics, tooling, roadmap cadence), not just a single product line.
- Strong cross-functional leadership skills—proven ability to align Engineering, Design, Sales, and Customer Success around a shared roadmap.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; comfortable presenting strategy and tradeoffs to executive leadership.
- Bonus: experience in cybersecurity, vulnerability management, or pentesting/offensive security domains; familiarity with Salesforce, Jira/Confluence, and Pendo.
