Aalyria is a leading aerospace technology company specializing in laser communications and temporospatial software-defined networking platforms. The company, which acquired technology from Google, is at the forefront of satellite and airborne mesh networks, cislunar and deep-space communications, and is revolutionizing the orchestration and management of planetary mesh networks across land, sea, air, and space. The Director of Growth will own the top of the sales funnel, focusing on long-lead work that expands what the sales team can close. While the sales organization is measured on in-year bookings, this role is measured on leading indicators: contract vehicles won, strategic teaming relationships established, and qualified opportunity flow handed to closers. Key responsibilities include: **Contract Vehicles and Market Access:** Identify, qualify, and win seats on OTAs, IDIQs, GWACs, and consortia that gate access to the government pipeline, measured in vehicle ceiling created. Track budgets, PPBE cycles, and legislative language that moves the market. **Strategic Teaming and Ecosystem:** Build teaming relationships with prime contractors, systems integrators, and defense technology companies, structured as concrete teaming agreements on real pursuits. Grow open-source and standards presence, industry working groups, and the community of engineers and operators who pull the platform into programs. **Program Shaping and Handoff:** Engage program offices and requirement owners well ahead of formal solicitations to shape requirements and ensure Aalyria's technology is embedded in the problem statement. Hand off qualified opportunities to the sales team with clear paths to closure. The role is based in Washington, DC, where the market is decided. This is a strategic position at the intersection of government relations, program shaping, and partnership development.
