Fireblocks, a leading platform for securing digital assets trusted by major financial institutions and Web3 companies, is seeking a Director of Engineering for Platform to lead the core backend systems powering dynamic.xyz's wallet infrastructure. You will own the complex, highly-distributed systems required to deliver wallet-as-a-service (WAAS), authentication, and related foundational services at massive scale, directly supporting the goal of onboarding millions of users globally.
In this visionary hands-on leadership role, you will define the long-term technical roadmap, architecture, and standards for the Platform team while maintaining active technical engagement in critical design reviews, coding standards, and shipping code. You'll oversee the design and implementation of distributed systems capable of handling massive transactional volume and user growth, with a demonstrated track record of delivering software at high velocity.
You will lead, mentor, and expand a high-performing engineering organization, working closely with customers to understand technical needs and ensure the platform meets integration and performance requirements. The role emphasizes secure-by-default systems, exceptional developer experience, and driving adoption of modern engineering practices, including leveraging AI models to enhance platform efficiency and security.
Required: 5+ years of engineering management experience leading multiple teams and delivering complex initiatives in time-sensitive environments; 10+ years of hands-on backend development architecting and operating large-scale, complex, highly-secure distributed systems; exceptional focus on security with experience architecting platforms in finance, payments, crypto, or authentication domains where security and attack vectors are critical design considerations.
