As Director of Engineering, you will lead critical backend infrastructure and data systems that power YipitData's core operations. Your responsibilities span multiple high-impact domains:
ERP Data Management: Design and implement connectors to fetch, store, and manage ERP data at scale. Ensure 24/7 high availability, efficient storage, and security. Own all related system improvements and optimizations.
Email Processing at Scale: Lead the reliability and scalability of large-scale email processing systems handling tens of millions of email accounts and hundreds of millions of daily emails. Design solutions around rate limits, proxy strategies, and provider constraints. Demonstrate strong proficiency in IMAP/SMTP protocols, Redis, MySQL, and message queue systems for distributed, high-volume workloads.
Backend API Development: Implement and upgrade backend APIs to meet evolving customer requirements. Drive the technical roadmap to keep pace with market demands.
System Architecture & Governance: Maintain existing services, execute iterative upgrades, deploy improvements, and establish service governance. Build foundational components that provide reliable core support across the engineering organization.
Business-Technology Liaison: Bridge business requirements and technical implementation. Collaborate closely with product and business teams to translate needs into scalable solutions.
Global Collaboration: Work across distributed teams in the US, Singapore, India, and China. Demonstrate flexibility with work hours to support global operations. Standard hours are 8 AM–5 PM IST, with flexibility for cross-timezone coordination.
