Re:Build Battery Solutions, a division focused on lithium-ion battery pack design and manufacturing, is seeking a Director of Engineering to lead its battery pack systems engineering organization.
In this role, you will set the technical vision and strategy for battery pack design and development, ensuring world-class performance, safety, and reliability across automotive, aerospace, renewable energy, and industrial applications. You will lead a cross-disciplinary team of mechanical, electrical, and systems engineers through all phases of development—from concept through manufacturing launch—while serving as a key technical decision-maker in multi-functional program discussions.
Key responsibilities include: building and mentoring a high-performing engineering team; owning the design and development of lithium-ion battery packs and modules across multiple programs; collaborating with program management, procurement, manufacturing, thermal/mechanical, electrical/BMS, and software teams to deliver integrated solutions; representing Re:Build in customer and executive technical discussions; driving innovation and technology roadmapping to stay ahead of emerging requirements; ensuring compliance with industry standards (UL, ISO, SAE, IEC); and managing technical risks and organizational changes.
You will influence technology roadmaps, customer engagements, and the execution of complex, high-value programs. Success requires deep technical expertise in battery pack engineering (electrical or mechanical background), proven leadership of technical teams, and the ability to engage effectively with customers, suppliers, and executives to drive innovation and deliver results. This is a senior leadership role combining hands-on technical depth with strategic oversight.
