Oula Health is a tech-enabled maternity care provider redesigning pregnancy care through a collaborative model combining obstetrics and midwifery. Founded in 2021, Oula operates multiple clinics across the tri-state area with plans to expand further. The company delivers comprehensive support across preconception, pregnancy, postpartum, and gynecology services, achieving better outcomes including lower C-section rates and higher VBAC success.
As Director of Clinic Operations, you will lead multi-market clinic operations across the tri-state region, managing a team of clinic managers and overseeing all aspects of day-to-day clinical operations. Your responsibilities span frontline leadership, operations management, and strategic execution.
Frontline Leadership: You will manage clinic managers, driving their development and ensuring they build strong teams. You'll be responsible for translating Oula's mission, values, and DEI commitments into lived practice across all markets. You'll serve as the critical communication bridge between clinic teams and the broader organization, maintaining regular on-site presence and periodic travel to support operations and patient experience.
Operations Management: You'll be accountable for service line performance, staffing, clinic operations, inventory management, and patient experience across multiple locations. You'll drive market success by achieving key metrics around team engagement, patient experience, access, capacity, and financial sustainability. You'll work closely with clinical leadership on scheduling and labor efficiency, drive adoption of Oula's operating model, facilitate policy rollouts, and manage vendor relationships with labs, suppliers, and pharmaceutical partners.
You'll partner with the VP of Market Operations and central teams to optimize processes, translate organizational initiatives into local execution, and ensure consistent implementation of fundamentals across all patient touchpoints.
The role requires being based in New York with on-site presence 2–3 days per week at WeWork or Oula clinics, with flexibility to work remotely as needed.
