Altruist is an AI-powered platform transforming wealth management by partnering with financial advisors nationwide. This role leads Cashiering and Treasury operations for a fast-growing broker-dealer, owning how client money moves in and out of the firm and how that movement is controlled. You will own the operations side of the money movement roadmap in partnership with Product and Engineering, scaling the function through automation rather than proportional headcount growth. Key responsibilities include: **Team Leadership**: Lead a team of four or more as a measured, high-performing function. Define and manage metrics including volume, turnaround time, error rate, exception aging, and cost per transaction. Drive staffing decisions, quality, coaching, and performance management. **Money Movement Operations**: Oversee daily check, wire, ACH, debit card, checkbook, and deposit operations. Manage bank and vendor relationships, cutoffs, and service levels. **Treasury and Liquidity**: Deliver accurate, on-time cash positioning and funding inputs for liquidity forecasting and bank account funding. Partner with Finance and Treasury on funding decisions and escalations. **Controls and Compliance**: Own the function's controls including daily cash and bank reconciliations with exception escalation, SEC Rule 15c3-3 reserve inputs, principal approval of disbursements, and AML, OFAC, and fraud escalation. Serve as the point of contact for audits and regulatory exams touching money movement. **Roadmap and Automation**: Drive the money movement roadmap with Product and Engineering by setting priorities, writing requirements, testing releases, and rolling out changes. Leverage automation and AI to remove manual reconciliation, exception handling, and case work as volume grows. **Procedures and Readiness**: Keep procedures current as systems change and prepare the function for new products and client growth before launch. The role follows a hybrid schedule with at least three days per week onsite in the Dallas office. **Requirements:** Director-level candidates must have: - 8+ years of cashiering, treasury, or money movement operations experience at a broker-dealer, clearing firm, custodian, or bank - 5+ years directly managing a team - Experience leading a function through an audit or regulatory exam - Built, run, and supervised daily cash and bank reconciliations at scale; designed controls that held up under audit and regulatory exam - Deep experience with check, wire, ACH, and debit card operations; strong knowledge of NACHA Operating Rules - Working command of SEC Rule 15c3-3 and Regulation E; practical experience identifying money movement red flags and handling AML and OFAC escalations - Solid knowledge of retirement account contribution and distribution rules, including withholding and tax reporting - Track record partnering with Product and Engineering to ship money movement capabilities and automation; ability to write clear requirements, run user acceptance testing, and comfort with SQL or low-code tools - Heavy daily user of AI tools with concrete examples of manual work eliminated - Series 7 and Series 24 licenses required at start Note: The posting indicates flexibility on level (Manager, Senior Manager, or Director) based on experience, with corresponding experience requirements for each tier.
