Salary: USD 150,000 - 250,000 / annual

AnySignal is developing next-generation RF (radio frequency) products and services for space and defense missions. The company is building a flexible, high-performance platform for advanced radio technologies in satellite communications. As Director of Business Development – Commercial Space, you will lead AnySignal's U.S. go-to-market and sales strategy for its end-to-end space communications platform. This is a critical revenue-driving role focused on satellite bus OEMs, prime contractors, and aerospace/telecom integrators. Key responsibilities include: - Build and maintain executive-level relationships with C-suite, program leadership, mission planning leads, and RF/payload leadership to influence long-term communications architecture and RF strategy. - Own opportunities end-to-end: prospecting, qualification, capture planning, proposal development, negotiation, and post-award growth. - Develop and execute account plans; negotiate and close commercial agreements including LOIs, MOUs, pilot programs, and multi-year service agreements. - Partner with technical teams to translate customer needs into tailored solutions and inform product direction. - Lead RFI/RFP responses and proactive capture activities, coordinating inputs across technical, pricing, legal, and leadership teams. - Maintain CRM discipline with pipeline hygiene, forecasting, and regular reporting on pipeline health and bookings. - Monitor commercial space market and competitive trends to identify opportunities and potential partners. - Interface with engineering and product teams to articulate market gaps and shape strategic roadmaps. You will need 7+ years of business development experience in space or aerospace, a strong track record building qualified pipeline and achieving targets, and familiarity with the U.S. commercial space market. Prior startup experience is preferred. Travel within North America (approximately 25%) is required. Note: ITAR compliance requires U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residency, or eligibility to secure necessary authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
