This Director of Business Development role leads the transformation of Precisely's Business Development Organization in the Americas. The mandate is to build a best-in-class outbound engine alongside the existing inbound infrastructure, develop the team running it, and scale revenue generation across North America.
Key responsibilities include:
- Running daily accountability loops: setting standards, inspecting work, coaching gaps, and holding the line while teaching managers to do the same
- Developing and optimizing the outbound motion by building systems, plays, sequences, and habits that scale beyond top performers
- Owning sales qualified opportunities and closed-won bookings for all of North America, focused on outcomes not activity metrics
- Building AI-powered workflows and deploying agents that support prospecting, research, personalization, and sequencing
- Recruiting and developing talent with a focus on career progression (BDRs becoming AEs, managers, and leaders)
- Operating cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, RevOps, and Enablement with a director's strategic perspective
Required experience:
- 8-12 years in BDR, SDR, or GTM roles in SaaS or enterprise technology
- 3-5+ years leading teams that included managers, not just individual contributors
- Proven track record building outbound motions within inbound-heavy organizations
- Hands-on experience building, testing, and deploying AI tools, agents, or workflow automation in sales development
- Ability to write playbooks, test them, refine them, and hand them to managers for execution
- Direct, honest coaching with the ability to distinguish between reps who won't versus reps who can't
- Expertise running pipeline reviews and building dashboards that surface truth
Precisely is an AI-first organization; all employees are expected to demonstrate proficiency with generative AI tools in their workflows.
