Brex is an intelligent finance platform enabling companies to spend smarter and move faster across 200+ markets. The platform combines global corporate cards and banking with spend management, bill pay, and travel software, powered by AI-native automation.
You will lead the systems, data, and operations that convert demand into qualified sales conversations and drive better marketing investment decisions. Reporting to the Senior Director of Growth Marketing, you will build and lead the Marketing Operations team while setting the technical roadmap for a scalable, reliable funnel across enterprise sales and self-serve motions, including Brex and Capital One integrations.
In your first year, you will establish baselines and targets with Growth Marketing, Revenue Operations, and SDR leadership to improve follow-up quality, routing accuracy, qualified meetings, and meeting-to-opportunity conversion. You will build trusted funnel data and enable faster campaign delivery.
Key responsibilities include owning the end-to-end marketing funnel from demand capture through sales handoff (qualification, enrichment, scoring, routing, automation, measurement); partnering with SDR, RevOps, Product, Engineering, and Data Science to improve funnel throughput and conversion; designing scalable workflows across sales-led and self-serve motions; managing the marketing technology ecosystem (Marketo, Salesforce, LeanData, web/CMS, analytics, advertising, GTM platforms); setting architecture and operating standards for scalability and reliability; leading platform improvements and evaluating new capabilities (CDP, AI workflows); owning marketing and prospect data quality and governance (identity, enrichment, segmentation, taxonomy, attribution); establishing trusted funnel and performance measurement with RevOps, Finance, Data, and Engineering; translating data into recommendations for marketing efficiency and investment decisions; leading and developing the Marketing Operations team with clear priorities, operating rhythms, and accountability; building scalable processes for intake, prioritization, capacity planning, and execution; and serving as a thought partner to Growth Marketing leadership while driving cross-functional alignment.
The role is based in one of Brex's hubs: San Francisco, New York, Seattle, Salt Lake City, or Vancouver. This is a hybrid environment requiring a minimum of three coordinated days in the office per week (Monday, Wednesday, Thursday), with up to four weeks per year of fully remote work available.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 8+ years in marketing operations, revenue operations, or growth operations, including 3+ years leading and developing a team
- Measurable improvements to lead-to-meeting conversion, with experience supporting both enterprise sales and self-serve/product-led motions
- Deep hands-on architecture experience in Marketo or equivalent marketing automation platform, plus strong Salesforce fluency and shared platform ownership with Revenue Operations
- Experience designing scalable lifecycle, scoring, routing, campaign taxonomy, and data governance practices
- Strong measurement judgment, including understanding attribution limitations, plus SQL and BI fluency to investigate performance independently
- Track record of using pipeline or forecast models to inform decisions and aligning cross-functional partners on execution
- Experience managing martech vendors and increasing team capacity through automation and reusable processes
- Experience running marketing systems as production infrastructure, including monitoring, incident response, and change control on revenue-facing workflows
- Experience running intake and prioritization for a team serving many internal stakeholders, with capacity planning that holds up under pressure
BONUS: Fintech/financial services/regulated environment experience; technical partnership with Product and Engineering on signup flows or identity resolution; holdouts, incrementality testing, or media mix modeling; marketing financial planning and reporting; AI or agent-assisted workflows with measurable results; hands-on experience with LeanData, Qualified, Hex, CDP, or integration tools like Retool.
