Salary: USD 190,000 - 220,000 / annual
Mineralys Therapeutics is a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company developing medicines to treat hypertension and related comorbidities including chronic kidney disease, obstructive sleep apnea, and other aldosterone-driven diseases. The company's lead product candidate is lorundrostat, a proprietary oral aldosterone synthase inhibitor.
The Director, Market Research & Competitive Intelligence will lead the market research, analytics, and competitive intelligence function to support the commercial development and launch of lorundrostat. This is a fully remote role reporting to the Executive Director of Business Analytics & Competitive Intelligence.
Key responsibilities include:
- Develop strategic frameworks to organize and prioritize key business questions around commercial planning and lifecycle management
- Manage relationships with third-party vendors, data providers, and consultants to generate insights supporting business decisions across commercial and cross-functional teams
- Collaborate with marketing and market access teams to develop the strategic commercial plan for lorundrostat's launch in uncontrolled/resistant hypertension
- Provide commercial perspective on ad hoc literature reviews, epidemiology analyses, and commercial opportunity assessments to support business development, senior leadership, investor presentations, board presentations, and leadership team meetings
- Monitor and disseminate competitive activity in therapeutic areas of interest across the organization
- Contribute to revenue forecast updates and development
- Manage the business insights budget planning and spend
The role requires up to 10% travel, which may include overnight trips outside the local area.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum 8 years of experience in market research, data analytics, business intelligence, competitive intelligence, marketing, or related discipline within commercial pharmaceutical or biotech in the US
- Expertise in PowerPoint, Excel, and presentation skills; ability to create clear and attractive presentations and frameworks is critical
- Strong knowledge of the US pharmaceutical market, preferably in general medicine, cardiovascular, metabolic, renal, or other large-prevalence therapeutic areas
- Working experience with US data sources for market data (claims, EHR, Rx, audits, payer coverage, competitive intelligence databases)
- Working knowledge of drug development processes and ability to evaluate competitive clinical trial design
- Preferred: knowledge/experience with US payer/market access environment and data sources
- Preferred: knowledge/experience of major ex-US pharmaceutical markets
