Crusoe is a vertically integrated AI infrastructure company building the future of energy-efficient AI compute. The company owns and operates each layer of the stack—from electrons to tokens—to power the world's most ambitious AI workloads. You will lead Crusoe's international modular data center deployments from site acquisition through customer handoff. This is a builder's role: you'll write the playbook for deploying modular compute infrastructure in new geographies with different regulatory regimes, construction norms, and utility interconnection standards. You'll execute multiple first-of-a-kind projects in parallel across diverse markets. Key responsibilities include: **Deployment Lifecycle Management:** Own project schedule, budget, and scope for international modular deployments. Coordinate site preparation, permitting, and utility interconnection adapted to local codes. Proactively identify and mitigate bottlenecks in procurement, construction, networking, and power readiness, with particular attention to cross-border logistics, customs, and regulatory shifts. **International & Cross-Border Complexity:** Partner with Legal and Trade Compliance to navigate customs and import/export requirements for GPUs, networking equipment, and modules. Collaborate with in-country partners to maintain Crusoe's execution standards in new markets. Coordinate work authorization, visas, and temporary relocations with HR to maintain on-ground presence during critical phases. **Cross-Functional Orchestration:** Serve as the central coordinator between Real Estate, Legal, Finance, Manufacturing, Cloud Product, Procurement, Site Design & Engineering, Construction, and the Spark Business Unit. Manage relationships with international contractors, suppliers, customs brokers, and local authorities. Provide high-fidelity executive reporting on project status and international-specific risks. **Process Standardization:** Build the first version of a "Spark International Deployment Playbook" capturing what's different about deploying outside the US. Meticulously record lessons learned from each first-of-a-kind build and identify continuous improvement opportunities. This role requires up to 50% travel, including international travel with extended trip durations to support first-of-a-kind builds. **Requirements:** - 10-15+ years managing complex, capital-intensive infrastructure or first-of-a-kind projects (data centers, energy, advanced manufacturing) with budgets exceeding $500M - Demonstrated experience delivering capital projects outside the United States across multiple countries or regulatory regimes - Working familiarity with export controls, customs, and import/export processes for high-value technical equipment - Demonstrated expertise in scheduling software used as a proactive decision-making tool - Technical breadth to manage engineering requirements across electrical, mechanical, civil, cloud, and network domains - Experience managing distributed, multicultural teams and in-country partners - Experience navigating construction codes, labor law, utility interconnection standards, and permitting in foreign countries - Ability to build processes from scratch where no playbook exists - Exceptional cross-cultural communication skills - Proven resilience driving projects to completion despite supply chain headwinds, logistics friction, or technical uncertainty - Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience **Bonus qualifications:** Spanish language proficiency (professional/business level), fluency in additional languages, prior expatriate or extended-relocation experience, experience with joint-venture or government-partnership project structures abroad, PMP or CDCDP certification.
