Moody's is seeking a Director-level Industry Practice Lead for Insurance Solutions based in Singapore to drive client engagement and thought leadership across the Asia Pacific region. This role combines deep insurance domain expertise with business development and solution design responsibilities.
You will serve as a trusted advisor to senior insurance and reinsurance executives, strengthening existing relationships and identifying new business opportunities. Key responsibilities include designing solutions that address complex client challenges, managing proposals and proof-of-concepts, and developing market outreach initiatives focused on regulatory developments and emerging risks like climate change and AI applications.
The role requires translating industry trends and competitive insights into product recommendations and business cases that inform future solution development. You'll collaborate with Relationship Managers, Solution Specialists, product teams, and internal stakeholders to execute sales strategy and support business development. Internal responsibilities include delivering training and knowledge-sharing sessions to enhance commercial effectiveness across the organization.
The ideal candidate brings 10+ years in insurance, reinsurance, or insurance consulting with deep expertise in property and casualty underwriting, natural catastrophe modeling, and regulatory frameworks. Preferred qualifications include experience in solvency, portfolio management, climate risk, stress testing, and demonstrated understanding of generative AI use cases in insurance. You should be comfortable with public speaking, able to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences, and experienced using AI tools to lead transformative initiatives.
You'll join the Industry Practice Group—a team of practitioners, former regulators, and subject matter experts specializing in underwriting, catastrophe modeling, climate risk, financial crime compliance, and generative AI. The team advises customers across insurance workflows while partnering with product, research, advisory, and customer success teams. A bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Engineering, Mathematics, Actuarial Science, or related field is required; an advanced degree is preferred.
