RapidSOS is seeking a Director of Implementation Engineering to lead the enterprise B2B implementation team, driving delivery of mission-critical integrations across a customer base of 250+ enterprise partners. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll stay close to technical work—writing code, architecting solutions, and troubleshooting alongside your team—while guiding the shift toward a flexible, code-first, AI-forward way of working.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the transformation from legacy, tool-based delivery to a code-and-repo-based, AI-forward implementation approach
- Owning delivery of Voice AI, call routing, and emergency service integrations that handle mission-critical communications at scale
- Staying hands-on with technical work: writing code, architecting integration solutions, and troubleshooting with the team
- Engaging directly with enterprise customers to strengthen relationships and bring technical credibility to key accounts
- Driving measurable improvements in customer onboarding velocity and satisfaction through collaboration with Product, Engineering, and Customer Success
- Building and scaling a high-impact team through strategic hiring, mentorship, and skills development
- Managing the team's operational budget, vendor relationships, and implementation contractors
- Establishing technical standards and operational frameworks that enable consistent delivery at scale
Ideal candidates bring:
- 8+ years in engineering, sales engineering, solutions engineering, or implementation engineering, with 3+ years managing technical teams
- Post-sales implementation experience with large enterprise customers
- AI-forward mindset with hands-on integration experience
- Proficiency with REST APIs and Python for integrations
- Genuine hands-on approach—staying close to technical work and leading by example
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for enterprise stakeholder engagement
- Demonstrated problem-solving expertise in complex integrations and team leadership
- Self-motivation, ownership mindset, and adaptability in fast-paced environments
