Hatch is a sleep wellness company helping 5+ million people build healthier sleep habits through science-backed habit formation and device-based solutions. The company operates across DTC, retail, and subscription channels. You'll join as Director of Growth Strategy—a senior individual contributor role positioned as the strategic nerve center of the growth organization. This is not a channel ownership, brand strategy, or analytics role; instead, you synthesize signals across marketing channels, sales, product, and customer data to surface high-impact growth opportunities and risks before they become obvious. You'll operate without execution ownership and with direct access to the executive team. Your primary deliverable is insight and recommendation that drives leadership decisions. In your first 45 days, you'll get up to speed on Hatch's business model (DTC, retail, subscription dynamics, unit economics), build a clear view of current growth performance across all channels, partner with Analytics and Finance to understand data structure and blind spots, and surface 3–4 high-impact opportunities with clear hypotheses. By 90 days, you'll regularly synthesize inputs across paid media, retail, DTC, and market signals to identify the most important growth opportunities. You'll translate complex data into clear narratives for leadership, challenge assumptions across the growth organization, and establish a consistent cadence of insight sharing. After your first year, you'll play a central role in shaping Hatch's growth strategy, contribute to annual planning and long-term investment decisions, identify step-change opportunities across channels and geographies, and serve as a trusted thought partner to the executive team on the most ambiguous growth questions. You'll report to the VP of Growth Marketing and partner closely with channel owners, Creative, Analytics, Product, and Finance. Required: 8–12 years in growth strategy, marketing strategy, or business strategy with significant consumer brand exposure. Meaningful DTC experience (consulting is a complement, not a substitute). Proven track record of independently structuring and delivering analyses that drove major business decisions. Experience presenting strategic recommendations directly to C-suite or board leadership. Genuine fluency in consumer growth channels (paid social, search, influencer, retail, Amazon, DTC, subscription economics)—not as a practitioner, but enough to understand what signals mean. Strong commercial instincts (CAC, LTV, payback period, contribution margin, channel ROI). IC analytical self-sufficiency to build your own analysis from raw data. Executive communication skills to distill complex, multi-variable pictures into clear positioning.
