Salary: USD 214,000 - 335,000 / annual

You will lead engineering for the Institutions segment, overseeing a multi-disciplinary team of software engineers, platform architects, and engineering managers. Your scope includes the investor solutions and research product suite, with responsibility for technology delivery across institutional and sophisticated investor offerings.
Key responsibilities include:
Strategic Leadership: Build and mentor a high-performing engineering organization. Establish clear goals, operational metrics, and delivery standards aligned with company objectives. Collaborate with Engineering, Product, and Design leadership to drive Addepar's broader strategy. Drive technical vision, coordination, and delivery across all Institutional segment products.
Technology & Product Delivery: Partner with Product Management, Design, and GTM teams to define and execute product roadmaps. Implement robust Agile practices for predictable, high-quality releases. Guide architectural decisions ensuring scalable, secure, and resilient systems meeting institutional security and compliance standards. Champion engineering best practices including automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and monitoring/observability platforms.
You bring 8+ years of engineering leadership experience managing managers, architects, and engineers. You have proven success delivering enterprise/institutional software with stringent security, regulatory, and uptime requirements. You possess deep familiarity with modern cloud architecture, microservices, API design, data pipelines, and enterprise security frameworks. Financial services or asset management experience (5+ years) is preferred. Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience required.
Addepar uses market-based pay. The salary range for Colorado, California, and New York is $214,000–$335,000 base salary plus bonus, equity, and benefits. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the US without requiring visa sponsorship.
