VAST Data is seeking a Director of Developer Relations to lead the company's developer advocacy and community engagement strategy. This role bridges technical teams and the developer community, positioning VAST Data's AI-accelerated data infrastructure platform as the go-to solution for data engineers, AI practitioners, and enterprises.
Key responsibilities include:
Community Leadership: Represent VAST Data at major industry conferences, meetups, and events as a speaker and thought leader. Build and nurture relationships with developer communities, AI practitioners, and data engineers. Grow and engage the Cosmos community of customers and partners.
Content Strategy & Creation: Develop high-quality technical content including tutorials, blog posts, videos, and comprehensive documentation. Create workshop materials for both in-person and virtual delivery. Build reference architectures, proof-of-concepts, and hands-on labs demonstrating data pipelines and AI workflows.
Technical Leadership: Demonstrate best practices for data platform implementations and showcase integrations with popular frameworks. Serve as a technical advisor to sales engineers and customers. Collaborate with product teams to translate customer feedback into product improvements and drive adoption.
AI Innovation: Develop proof-of-concept AI agents and data pipelines using VAST Data. Create educational content explaining how the platform enhances AI development workflows. Partner with ecosystem companies to showcase real-world AI agent pipelines. Stay current on emerging AI technologies and frameworks to identify integration opportunities.
This is a leadership role requiring someone who can evangelize complex data infrastructure and AI technology to technical audiences, build community at scale, and influence product direction through customer insights.
