TENEX.AI is an AI-native, automation-first Managed Detection and Response (MDR) provider backed by leading investors including Andreessen Horowitz, Crosspoint Capital Partners, Shield Capital, and others. The company is rapidly scaling and seeking experienced operators to define its culture and product direction.
You will serve as the first Customer Success leader in EMEA, building the regional CS function from the ground up. This is a dual player-coach role: you will personally own strategic EMEA accounts as the senior customer-facing point of contact, especially in the first 90 days, driving onboarding, adoption, value realization, and executive alignment for MDR engagements with CISOs and security leaders. You will also build and scale the EMEA CSM team from one person to a multi-person pod, owning hiring, onboarding, development, and the local operating rhythm (QBRs, health reviews, escalation paths) in alignment with global CS frameworks.
Key responsibilities include: owning the customer relationship and serving as the in-region escalation point and trusted advisor; building and leading the EMEA team through hiring and development; partnering across the business with EMEA commercial leadership on account strategy, expansion planning, and regional go-to-market; and carrying regional accountability for gross revenue retention (GRR), net revenue retention (NRR), and time-to-value metrics. You will represent the voice of the EMEA customer back into global CS, product, and delivery, and partner with Project Management on onboarding delivery to protect time-to-value.
The role requires deep background in MDR, managed security services, or comparable high-touch B2B managed-services/SaaS environments. You must have a proven track record scaling a customer success team from roughly 1 to 5+ people—building, not inheriting. Demonstrated player-coach experience is essential: credible carrying strategic accounts yourself while being effective at hiring and developing teams. Strong command of retention and expansion mechanics (GRR/NRR) and the operational levers behind them is required. You must have executive presence with security leadership and be comfortable as the senior in-region relationship owner for enterprise CISOs. Native or near-native English is required. You must be based in (or willing to relocate to) London, with flexibility to work across EMEA time zones and maintain overlap with an AMER-based global team.
Nice-to-haves include familiarity with the EMEA security and regulatory landscape (GDPR, data-residency considerations, native-language delivery expectations by market), experience standing up customer success in a region for a company scaling internationally, exposure to Google SecOps or adjacent detection-and-response tooling, and additional European languages.
