As Director of Clinical Pharmacy Stars Performance at Devoted Health, you will own the tactical execution of all clinical pharmacy-related measures in the Medicare Advantage and Part D Star Ratings portfolio. You serve as the enterprise clinical subject matter expert on pharmacy quality, reporting directly to the AVP of Pharmacy and carrying the portfolio into executive meetings.
Key responsibilities include: managing performance trajectories across the full clinical pharmacy Star portfolio (medication adherence measures for Diabetes, RAS Antagonists, and Statins; SUPD; Polypharmacy; and Concurrent Use of Opioids and Benzodiazepines); forecasting measure trajectories against projected cut points and translating analysis into daily operating directives; serving as the authoritative clinical voice on pharmacy quality and tracking regulatory specification changes; staying ahead of the measure set by monitoring CMS development and building operational capability before measures enter Stars; designing organization-wide strategies to deliver 5-Star performance at scale; managing performance against KPIs by partnering with internal teams and external partners including the PBM; maintaining market awareness of the vendor landscape for adherence stratification and pharmacist-led interventions; and driving execution through direct management and leadership through influence.
You will be the person Medical Directors consult before anyone else, the person who reads Technical Notes immediately upon release, and the person who can forecast where cut points will land months in advance. You will personally build trackers, set OKRs, and audit whether outreach was effective. This role demands relentless execution instinct, advanced analytical acumen to identify root causes and design targeted interventions, demonstrated leadership impact across organizational levels, and clinical diplomacy to navigate nuanced conversations with skeptical clinicians.
Required qualifications: PharmD or equivalent clinical degree; 7+ years of progressive leadership in managed care, health plans, or PBMs with dedicated ownership of Medicare Advantage and Part D quality programs; documented track record of moving clinical pharmacy Stars measures in volatile cut point environments; comfort with business intelligence tooling; and demonstrated ability to influence outcomes through direct management, cross-functional project leadership, or matrix reporting relationships.
